I was hoping to come home from St. Louis with piles of exotic (Missourian?) fabrics but Ben and Henry proved to be less than ideal fabric shopping companions. Imagine that. But I didn't come home empty-handed after all: we stumbled upon a really fabulous paper store where I bought one really fabulous piece of paper...and several yards of japanese ribbon, oh my, there are so many ways ways I would like to use this but the fact that it is fully reversible (one of my favorite attributes in the world) has my hands tied until I can come up with some good ways to see both sides.

oh me oh my - I think the paper needs its own photo - it looks so super fabulous. until you can think of destinations for your ribbons I'll take them off your hands and wear them as sashes and belts - WOW! B-E-A-U-TIFUL! It's probably a good thing I wasn't in that store with you - i am such a sucker for ribbons - mmmmm
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in high school in the '70's (how is that for old) we all wore our long hair in cascading curls with big satin ribbons in them. I think if I had that lime green ribbon I would just have to do the sides up do and tie that beautiful stuff in my gloriously gray hair. I am assuming this is a quality fabric ribbon, not paper??
ReplyDeleteThat's it Mom, I'm mailing you this ribbon right now. Or maybe I will hand deliver it, because I can't wait to see it in your gloriously gray locks.
ReplyDeleteA new place to come too!! Nice meeting you ..Love your ribbon find!!
